Magic of silk
I love to paint on silk. It is a natural and beautiful material, working on which is a bit similar to the aquarelle technique. I mostly do flowers and at times figures, which are more of an experiment. Being a handiwork there are no two identical ones and every piece of silk has a story of its own. As accessories, they are a colourful expression of character, mood and emotions. Apart from this, they can be made into graceful summer skirts as well.
These flimsy, unique objects in relation to the elements of land, wood and air, in different aspects of light, may provide a deep source of inspiration. This is perfectly visible on the photos done by Noémi Tamás, a talented photographer.
Many of my ideas for silk painting come from nature, in the form of colours or shapes. I also enjoy doing personalized pieces for friends or based on orders.
